Clive Christian’s E for Women Green Fougere with Aromatic Lavender is an interesting scent built around an interesting idea – a fougere that women will want to wear. And want to wear it they shall. Because somehow, perfumer Tom Gage has figured out how to remove all the parts of a fougere that make it too masculine for women, like geranium, cedar, and coumarin, replacing them with softer herbal, floral, and earthy notes that retain the essential character of the fougere while rendering it more universally appealing.
